Season Highlights
After a meeting organised by Mr Alan Whitchurch at Sale Youth Club rooms on August 21st 1969, the Sale Women's Softball Association is formed.
Practice games to be held August 30th and September 6th.
First games played at McMillan Park - Saturday Sept 13th 1969 on two diamonds at 1.30 and 3.15pm.....
The Sept 18th edition of the Gippsland Times reports " The mayor of Sale Cr PJ Clancy hit the first ball to officially start the Sale (Women's) Softball Association competition........"
A
successful six a side carnival was held in December.
Squaws are inaugural premiers, trophies donated by Elliman Motors, Gippsland Times, John McMillan
